Structured data

Structured data is code added to a webpage that provides search engines with explicit, machine-readable information about the page's content. It uses a standardized vocabulary called Schema.org to label elements like FAQs, products, people, organizations, and events. Structured data enables rich results in search, including featured snippets, knowledge panels, and FAQ dropdowns, and is increasingly used by AI tools to understand and cite content accurately.
